Best look yet at new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe

Image
New spy photos have provided our clearest look under the disguise at the next Hyundai Santa Fe seven-seater, which is set for a boxy makeover with the new model. The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe seven-seat family SUV has dropped much of its disguise in the latest spy images, ahead of its expected unveiling later this year, for first Australian showroom arrivals next year. Images posted to South Korean social media website Autospy show a Santa Fe test vehicle in transport disguised in a vinyl camouflage wrap, confirming the boxy design seen in earlier images. It is a departure from previous sightings of Hyundai Santa Fe prototypes, which have worn significant black camouflage over much of their bodywork to hide key styling features. There remains hints of Land Rover Defender styling in the design of the new Santa Fe, plus cues reminiscent of full-size US SUVs, and China’s GWM Tank 300 4WD, which drew inspiration from the Jeep Wrangler. New tech alerts drivers when emergency vehicles are fast approaching

Image
Certain Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Chrysler models in North America are now equipped with safety technology which provides audible and visual alerts when emergency vehicles are fast approaching. Almost two million cars in North America can now alert drivers when an emergency vehicle is fast approaching, saving first responders valuable time and reducing the risk of a crash with hearing-impaired motorists. Last week, an over-the-air software update for certain Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles in the US and Canada included a new safety feature which notifies drivers to be aware of an approaching emergency vehicle. Drivers are provided an audible alert and a visual message on their infotainment screen up to 20 seconds before an emergency vehicle approaches from behind with its lights or sirens activated. The system – developed by HAAS alert – relies on emergency vehicles to have their lights or sirens activated, meaning it will not warn drivers when they are approaching a first...
