Lexus says goodbye to performance cars ... for now

The shock decision by Lexus to axe the IS sedan and RC coupe in Australia later this year also draws the curtain on the company's performance division that was shaping up to be a rival to Mercedes-AMG, BMW M, and Audi RS. After 12 short years, the Lexus F range of performance cars will reach the end of the road in Australia. The RC F coupe will be the last performance-focused F model from Lexus, following the axing of the IS F sedan in 2013 and GS F sedan in 2020.
