2022 Subaru WRX teased, Australian launch due early 2022 – UPDATE: August 19 reveal confirmed

UPDATE, 28 July 2021: The 2022 Subaru WRX will be unveiled on 19 August 2021 at the New York motor show, the brand has confirmed. Teaser images and videos released by Subaru USA overnight show the new WRX getting sideways in the American desert. Highlights include further confirmation the new model will draw inspiration from 2017's Viziv Performance concept, plus a glimpse of the 2.4-litre turbo engine's 6100rpm redline.
