2022 BYD E6 electric people mover confirmed for Australia, wider range to be revealed in “next two weeks”

Nexport – the Australian distributor for Chinese manufacturer BYD – has announced the new all-electric 2022 BYD E6 people mover for the local market, priced from $39,999 before on-road costs. With deliveries of the BYD electric vehicle promised to begin before the end of August 2021, this price would make it the country’s cheapest electric car at launch, undercutting the $44,990 drive-away MG ZS EV. However, just 15 examples will initially be available.
