China’s GWM Haval launches massive hybrid push to challenge Toyota

Little known Chinese brand GWM Haval is about to roll out a range of petrol-electric hybrid cars aimed at clawing back some of the global dominance of Toyota, which is the biggest seller and one of the pioneers of the fuel-saving technology. GWM Haval will launch its first hybrid car in Australia by the end of this year – the Haval H6 Hybrid, a medium SUV similar in size to a Toyota RAV4 or Nissan X-Trail.
