2016-2020 Volvo XC90 Excellence recalled with unusual safety fault

Volvo Australia has recalled 11 examples of its XC90 Excellence luxury SUV, citing a potential fault with the power-adjustable rear seats. The affected vehicles were sold between 1 July 2017 and 31 August 2020 (Model Years 2016 to 2020). The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says: “If there is liquid or liquid droplets on the rear seat control display, the system may perceive this as a constant touch.”
