2022 Ford Ranger Raptor to get twin turbo V6 petrol in the US, Australia could get turbo diesel V6

There has been further speculation the 2022 Ford Ranger Raptor will be powered by a twin turbo petrol V6 borrowed from the high-performance Ford Explorer ST and paired to a 10-speed auto. The latest report comes via enthusiast website Ford Authority, which claims to have based the information on sources familiar with the next-generation Ford Ranger. However, it remains unclear if the twin turbo petrol V6 engine is for the US market only, which favours petrol over diesel for compact pick-ups.
