2022 Cupra Born electric hot hatch revealed, Australian launch unlikely

The 2022 Cupra Born electric hatch has been unveiled, though lagging emissions rules mean it's unlikely an Australian launch will occur any time soon. First shown to the public in March 2019 as the SEAT el-Born concept, the Born represents Volkswagen Group-owned Spanish performance brand Cupra's first electric vehicle, with sportier styling and more potent powertrains that attempt to differ from the Volkswagen ID.3 with which it shares its MEB platform and much of its sheetmetal.
