2019-2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter recalled with transmission software bug

Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 11 examples of its Sprinter van, citing a potential fault with the reversing lights. The affected vehicles were sold between 21 September 2018 and 4 January 2021 (Model Years 2019-2021). The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says: “The gear recognition function in the transmission may not function as intended in some vehicles.
