2018 Genesis G80 and 2015-2017 Hyundai Genesis recalled for fire risk following mass Kia and Hyundai recalls

The Genesis G80 sedan – and its predecessor, the Hyundai Genesis – have been recalled, due to the same fire risk affecting 57,851 vehicles built by sister company Kia earlier this month, and 93,572 Hyundai Tucsons in February. The 124 recalled Genesis G80s were sold between 1 October 2017 and 31 January 2020 (Model Years 2018), while the 1203 recalled Hyundai Genesis models were sold between 1 October 2014 and 30 June 2017 (Model Years 2015-2017).
