Huawei to invest $1.3 billion in autonomous electric vehicle development

Huawei has announced it will invest US$1 billion (AU$1.3 billion) in electric and autonomous vehicle development over the next decade. As previously reported by CarAdvice, the Chinese tech company and mobile phone giant has contracted a number of companies to co-develop its own vehicles, including BAIC Group, Chongqing Changan Automobile and Guangzhou Automotive.
