These Melbourne roads now have worse traffic congestion than they did pre-lockdown

New data has identified the Melbourne roads where traffic congestion is actually worse than it was before the 2020 coronavirus pandemic – with some locations seeing a 20 per cent surge in motorists compared to 2019. While most roads have either maintained or lowered their congestion levels in 2021 compared with 2019, a small handful have seen a surge in traffic.
