Petition to name Nurburgring corner after Sabine Schmitz gains traction

Following the death of racing driver and television personality Sabine Schmitz earlier this month, a petition has emerged online calling for a corner to be named after her at Nurburgring Nordschleife. Schmitz, who passed away aged 51 following a long battle with cancer, was affectionately known as the 'Queen of the Nurburgring' – the racing circuit where she spent most of her life and career.
