2021 Toyota GR 86 could be just weeks away, as Subaru confirms joint announcement

Toyota and Subaru have confirmed plans for a joint announcement on 5 April 2021, suggesting the all-new GR 86 sports car could be closer to launch than previously thought. Teasing the upcoming event, an image appears to show the badges of both a Toyota GR 86 and a Subaru BRZ, with the words "Let's make ever-better cars together!" While it's yet to be confirmed the upcoming media event will feature the wildly-popular coupe's reveal, CarAdvice understands this is highly likely.
