Toyota Australia yet to determine if earthquake in Japan will further delay cars

Toyota Australia says it yet to determine if there will be any further delays to shipments of vehicles after last week’s earthquake in Japan wiped out a number of parts suppliers. Toyota was planning to pause production “for several days” on 14 of its 28 assembly lines in Japan, according to a report by Automotive News. The facilities produced such models as the Toyota RAV4, C-HR and Kluger SUVs and a number of Lexus models, the industry journal reported.
