2021 Mercedes-Benz G-Class price and specs: Diesel returns, AMG price rise

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz G 400d has been announced, signalling the first diesel G-Class in three years. Joining the G 63 in the range, the diesel G-Wagen uses a 3.0-litre 'OM656' turbo diesel six-cylinder engine putting out 243kW and 700Nm. The G 400d offers proper off-road credentials for Mercedes-Benz buyers, with a ladder chassis, full-time four-wheel drive, and front, centre, and rear differentials, complete with a nine-speed automatic transmission with low-range.
