Top 10 new cars money can’t buy: The list of vehicles with a long queue

New-car sales have recovered faster than expected in the wake of the pandemic – with demand surging in the last two months of 2020 – which has led to severe stock shortages of some models. After almost a decade of record low prices and sharp drive-away deals the balance of power has shifted in favour of dealers who are scrambling for cars to sell. However, demand for certain new cars is so strong the waiting list stretches up to 12 months and some buyers are paying well over the odds.
