Rally cars versus supercars – cool cars from a golden era of motorsport

Two motorsport categories reigned supreme in the wild 1990s era of Japanese motorsport. The first was the all-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC). It was an incredible race series that lasted 11 years between 1994 and 2014, and replaced Group C racing. The second was the Japanese Touring Car Championship (JTCC), which was active between 1994 and 1998. It superseded Group A racing, which we saw in Australia up until 1993.
