2022 GMC Hummer EV to join Extreme E electric off-road championship

The 2022 GMC Hummer EV will compete in the upcoming Extreme E electric off-road championship... with a catch. The FIA-sanctioned series is actually a one-make championship, meaning, much like NASCAR, every car is identical under the skin. However, the USA-based Chip Ganassi Racing Team will run its cars with Hummer EV-themed graphics and bodywork, as part of a new promotional deal with GMC.
