2021 Porsche 911 Carrera Cross: High-riding 'Safari' imagined

A prototype Porsche 911 has been spied testing in Germany, but with one curious detail: raised suspension. Why a brand-new 911 sports car would even be fitted with high-riding suspension remains a mystery. At this stage there have been no industry whispers about such a variant. However, in the past few months we know Porsche has been testing a Taycan Cross Turismo, using a lifted body to combine the best aspects of a large luxury wagon with the clearance of an SUV.
