Volkswagen Passat to live on with a more spacious, premium push - report

Reports from UK publisher Autocar detail Volkswagen Group's plans to introduce a successor to the current eighth-generation Passat by 2023. The news comes after Volkswagen Group chairman Herbert Diess initially invalidated such plans. Diess had previously suggested that the future all-electric ID Vizzion model (pictured above) would likely be offered in saloon and wagon body types, and could act as a replacement to the Passat product family.
