More affordable rear-wheel-drive Porsche Taycan lands in China

A new base-model Porsche Taycan has debuted in China, devoid of additional badges like its 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S siblings. This new Porsche Taycan model only has a single electric motor powering the rear wheels, unlike the all-wheel-drive models currently available to buy in Australia. While the most affordable Taycan currently available in Australia is the 4S, which starts at $191,000 plus on-road costs, the new base model has been priced from 888,000 yuan – or roughly AU$182,747.
