Tesla logs record first quarter in 2020, despite tough conditions

Tesla has bucked the trend of falling sales amid the coronavirus pandemic, logging their biggest-ever first-quarter on record. While also logging 103,000 builds in the first three months of 2020, Tesla has reported 88,400 deliveries in the same quarter. This marks a 43 per cent increase compared to 2019 figures. Tesla broke the sales down, with new Model 3 and Model Y accounting for 76,200 deliveries, while the older and more expensive Model S and Model X made up the remaining 12,200.
