Two more automotive powerhouses join the push for sustainability

German manufacturing powerhouses Volkswagen and Daimler have joined the charge for sustainable mining practices in one of the world’s largest producers of lithium. According to a report from Reuters, the two carmakers have launched a study into the environmental impacts and sustainability of lithium mining in Chile's Atacama Desert region.
