Hyundai joins forces with Californian electric vehicle maker Canoo

Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor Company is set to begin co-developing an electric vehicle (EV) platform with Californian subscription-only startup Canoo. Hyundai plans to collaborate with Canoo on its ‘skateboard’ design, a fully-scalable architecture that sees all major EV components integrated into a low-profile frame designed to deliver less weight and fewer parts. The skateboard is also a self-contained unit able to be paired with any cabin design.
