Ford Ranger, Everest to debut connected 'FordPass' app in Australia

Ford has given its strong-selling Ranger dual-cab ute and ute-based Everest SUV a technology boost for 2020. From the middle of the year the entire line-up will be offered with FordPass Connect as standard, allowing owners to monitor and control their cars using a smartphone app. None of the Ranger or Everest's rivals offer the same technology, which is becoming common in cars from BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz. Hyundai also offers similar functionality through its AutoLink app.
