Mercedes-Benz EQC, Toyota Corolla sedan score 5 star ANCAP ratings

The all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQC has followed the Hyundai Kona Electric and Nissan Leaf in achieving a five-star safety rating from independent crash-testing authority ANCAP. The mid-sized EQC SUV, which will go head-to-head with the Audi E-Tron Quattro and Jaguar I-Pace, equalled the best-ever score for child protection. It also fared well when it came to adult occupant protection, with a 96 per cent rating.
