2018-19 Mercedes-Benz A-Class recalled

Mercedes-Benz has recalled the 2018-19 A-Class over concerns about the protective plate under the spare wheel. According to the company, the 'protective tinplate' under the spare wheel recess could crack on its outer edges. If the tinplate has multiple cracks in the same area, it could detach from the car, increasing the risk of accident or injury to other road users. A total of 21 cars are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.
