Why the latest Census data is bad news for young drivers

Road safety experts have renewed calls to encourage novice drivers to buy newer and safer cars as the latest Census data shows the average age of motor vehicles is increasing after years of getting younger. According to the 2019 Australian Motor Vehicle Census compiled by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the average age of all motor vehicles has increased from 10 to 10.2 years since 2014.
