2010-14 Volkswagen Polo recalled for Takata airbags

Volkswagen has recalled 2010-2014 Polo models to have driver-side Takata airbag inflators replaced. As with all Takata-related recalls, a combination of heat and humidity can make the airbag inflator propellant degrade. If a vehicle with an affected inflator is involved in an accident triggering the airbag, there's a risk the metal inflator housing will rupture under too much internal pressure.
