Watch the VW ID. R set a new Nurburgring record

Earlier this week, Romain Dumas shattered the Nurburgring Nordschleife record for electric vehicles with the Volkswagen ID.R. His time (6:05.336) is almost six seconds faster than Stefan Bellof – the long-time lap record holder – could do in a Porsche 956 racer, and around 40 seconds faster than the existing electric record holder, the Nio EP9.
