Aston Martin's new factory produces its first car, a DBX prototype

Aston Martin's new Welsh factory has produced its first car ahead of series production kicking off next year. Located around in the town of St Athan, the new factory is around 20 kilometres south-west of the Welsh capital Cardiff. The 36 hectare site was purchased from the Ministry of Defence in 2016, and since then the automaker has converted much of site, including its "super hangars" into a modern manufacturing facility with plenty of glass walls.
