2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 engine details revealed

The power and torque figures of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 have been confirmed ahead of the car's release later this year. Under the bonnet is a 5.2-litre supercharged V8 with 567kW (760hp) of power and 847Nm of torque. That's significantly more than the 522kW (700hp) or so the company promised when it unveiled the GT500 at this year's Detroit motor show. In January Ford said the GT500 would also feature a carbon-fibre driveshaft and a seven-speed Tremec dual-clutch transmission.
