Ferrari hybrid coming May 31 with 735kW - report

Ferrari's first 'mainstream' hybrid model will lob on May 31, and is expected to pump out a whopping 735kW of power thanks to three electric motors. That's according to the Ferrari Chat forum, which this week had an invitation to the hybrid's unveiling posted on one of its threads. Chatter on the forum suggests the 735kW car, which hasn't been named, will blend a V8 engine with three electric motors for performance that puts the 812 Superfast in the shade.

A US high school teacher is facing legal action – and $US4000 ($AU6000) in costs – after being accused of renting a turbocharged Toyota Supra performance coupe from a car-sharing service and used the vehicle in a racing competition without the owner’s knowledge. Melbourne City Council has announced plans to allow the public to suggest names for new roads and locations in the city. Names proposed for roads must meet the 1998 Geographic Place Names Act to ensure they are not duplicated or offensive, and support the local community interests – and they can can be submitted by community members, landholders and developers.
