BMW X5 xDrive25d launched, confirmed for Australia

BMW has revealed a new, entry-level version of its X5 SUV for the European summer, set to arrive in Australia late in the third quarter, or early in the fourth this year. The X5 xDrive 25d maintains the all-wheel drivetrain of its pricier siblings, but subs the inline-six engine for a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel making 170kW and 450Nm. It's mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission, as uses a claimed 6.2L/100km on the combined cycle.
