2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class & GLE recalled

Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall notice for the 2018 E-Class and GLE, over concerns the power steering could fail. The three-pointed star reports that 'certain' vehicles across both model lines could have a sensor in the electric power steering system that was "manufactured outside of the specification". If the condition occurs, the sensor could fail and disable the electric steering assistance. This poses a hazard to the driver and could increase the risk of an accident.
