2014 Lexus IS250C, IS F added to Takata recall

Lexus has added the 2014 IS250C and IS F to the Takata recall list, expanding on a campaign initially launched in January 2018. As with all Takata-related recall notices, a combination of heat and humidity can make the airbag propellant degrade. If a car fitted with a faulty inflator is involved in an accident where the airbag is triggered, metal fragments may shoot into the cabin, putting vehicle occupants at risk of serious injury or fatality.
