2016 Jaguar XE, XF added to Takata recall

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has initiated a recall for the 2016 'X760' XE and 'X260' XF as part of the ongoing Takata airbag campaign. As with previous Takata-related recalls, affected airbag inflators could degrade over time when exposed to high temperatures and humidity over time. If the condition occurs, the airbag propellant can degrade, and if the vehicle is involved in a collision the metal inflator housing could rupture upon deployment, sending shrapnel-like fragments into the cabin.
