Can you handbrake turn with an e-parking brake?

Electric park brakes are more compact than their mechanical counterparts, can automatically activate/deactivate, and make life easier for the vast majority of everyday drivers. But they have removed one element of the average petrolhead's (closed road/private course) repertoire – the handbrake turn. In this video, Chris Harris and Rory Reid from Top Gear set out to see what happens if you yank (and hold) the parking brake at high speed in a Volkswagen Golf R.
