Ford GT and Mustang recalled for Takata airbags

Mustang Motorsport and Crossover Car Conversions have issued a recall for the 2005-06 Ford GT and 2005-14 Ford Mustang as part of the ongoing Takata airbag campaign. Like other notices relating to Takata airbags, the inflator propellant could degrade over time due to high temperatures and humidity. If the condition occurs, the airbag inflator could rupture when deployed in an accident, shooting metal fragments into the cabin – posing a risk of injury, even death, to the vehicle's occupants.
