MG confirms all-wheel drive electric sports car

MG has confirmed it's working on an all-electric two-door sports car, similar in size to a Mazda MX-5, to offer a new look at what a compact enthusiast toy can be. Speaking with Australian media at the MG research and development centre in Shanghai, the brand’s head of design (and a veteran of more than 10 years with Volkswagen), Shao Jinfeng, confirmed plans for an electric sports car, acknowledging the MG brand's history as a sports car maker.
