BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, X3 added to Takata recall

BMW Australia has issued a recall across its previous-generation 1 Series, 3 Series, and X3 model lines as part of the ongoing Takata airbag campaign. This latest notice affects driver's airbags fitted to 'E8x' 1 Series, 'E9x' 3 Series and 'E83' X3 models, sold from 1 June 2004 through 30 June 2015. As with all Takata recalls, the fault revolves around inflators that could degrade due to exposure to high temperatures and humidity over time.
