Volvo XC20 all-electric small SUV in development – report

Volvo will launch a small all-electric SUV to sit below the XC40 in its range, according to a new report from AutoExpress UK. The outlet claims the manufacturer's CEO – Håkan Samuelsson – confirmed the project in a private discussion. Likely badged as the XC20, the vehicle will reportedly be based on Geely’s newly-unveiled EV Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). Fellow Geely marques Lynk & Co, Polestar, and Proton are also expected to utilise this modular platform.

Porsche wants to make sure your next drive in the fresh air is indeed a drive in the fresh air, as the Porsche Roads app – which promotes great driving routes to the connected Porsche community – now includes an Air Quality Index (AQI) rating for your location.

Kia Optima badge exits Australia

The Kia Optima, which survived through four generations in Australia, has now all but left local showrooms. 2021 Nissan Leaf e+ with longer range confirmed for Australia

Tesla owner to Elon: 'Our roof just fell off'

The owner of a Tesla Model Y has claimed the vehicle's glass pane roof separated from its body while driving on a freeway in California. In a video posted to Twitter, the owner directed their comments to Tesla boss Elon Musk, writing: "Why didn't you tell us that Tesla sells convertibles now? Because the roof of our brand new Model Y fell off on the highway". On the Tesla Model Y, the entire roof panel is a single sheet of glass.
